Stephen Curry is officially the greatest three-point shooter in NBA history.
The Warriors star and future Hall of Famer put his stamp on that claim Tuesday when he passed Ray Allen on the all-time list for most three-pointers made. Curry entered the game needing two to break Allen’s record of 2,973 and did it with a basket in the first quarter against the Knicks at Madison Square Garden Tuesday.
Allen retired at age 38 in 2013-14 and set the all-time record in 1,300 games. Curry, 33, needed only 789 games to break it and should become the first player to break the 3,000 three-pointers mark before this season ends.
Reggie Miller is third on the all-time list at 2,560 followed by James Harden (2,509 and counting), Kyle Korver (2,450) and Vince Carter (2,290).
