Since making the Stanley Cup Final last year, the Montreal Canadiens have hired an executive vice president of hockey operations, a new general manager, a new head coach and finished 32nd in the NHL standings — the first team to do so in league history.
Now, the club looks ahead to a critical off-season to determine the franchise’s future, highlighted in part by its 18.5 per cent chance at landing the No. 1 overall pick for the 2022 NHL Draft in Montreal and what’s next for both head coach Martin St. Louis and franchise goaltender Carey Price.
To reflect on the 22-49-11 season and give thoughts on the off-season ahead, Canadiens general manager Kent Hughes, St. Louis and select players will speak with the media for an end-of-season press conference beginning around 9:45 a.m. ET.
