The Montreal Canadiens made a big splash Tuesday morning by hiring hockey star Marie-Philip Poulin to be a player development consultant.
In her new role, the three-time Olympic gold medalist will work with Canadiens players on the ice and in the video room “to work on their individual and collective skills,” the team said in a release. The role will be part-time so Poulin can continue her playing career.
Poulin will be introduced to Montreal media by owner Geoff Molson in a press conference Tuesday afternoon. You can watch the availability live on sportsnet.ca beginning at 4 p.m. ET/ 1 p.m. PT.
