It’s hard making split-second shopping decisions at the best of times, but right now, as we find ourselves at the start of winter with a bounty of beautiful cold-weather staples fluttering into our favourite new-in sections like snowflakes, even the most assured shoppers will inevitably second-guess themselves.
The fact that this is one of the strongest winters we’ve had in a long while isn’t a bad thing; it just makes it more difficult to commit to a purchase when you want everything you see. What’s more, you want to spend your money on pieces you’ll love and wear for years to come. So it certainly pays to seek out some impartial advice before you spend your hard-earned money on something, be it high-street or designer.
While I could write paragraph after paragraph on the pieces I’m currently coveting, instead, I decided to enlist the help of some of my influencer contacts, each of whom have shared their winter wish lists with me.
Seeing as they all have very different aesthetics, I was surprised to find each of them stuck to a largely neutral colour palette, proving that 2022 is indeed the year of classic style.
