Where To Shop Daisy Jones & The Six’s Rock ‘N’ Roll Style

When Amazon Prime announced that it was adapting Taylor Jenkins Reid’s bestselling novel Daisy Jones & The Six for a 12-episode miniseries, I screamed. In all-caps on Twitter first, naturally (I am an internet-born fangirl, after all) but then in real life. Friends, family members, and colleagues were duly warned that I would be making this show my personality for the foreseeable future.

Daisy Jones premiered on Prime Video on March 3. The series is set in the 1970s and tells the story of a fictional, Fleetwood Mac-inspired band’s attempts to break into the industry. It’s everything music and fashion lovers could want, rolled into one glittering package. Think sex, drugs, and rock ‘n’ roll, characters rocking out and breaking hearts in Joan Jett-esque bell bottoms, Stevie Nicks-style capes, and Penny Lane furs. Unsurprisingly, TikTok is already home to thousands of Daisy Jones-inspired outfit videos, with fans excitedly discussing how the book’s iconic fashion moments will translate to the small screen (keep an eye out for a particular fan favorite men’s dress shirt).

Many of the show’s looks are vintage — sourced from the ’60s and ’70s, yes, but also the ’20s and ’30s — but fans eager to emulate its style will be happy to know that plenty of pieces are not only contemporary but available to shop now from Etsy artisans and ’70s-inspired brands like Stoned Immaculate and Free People. The latter has even partnered exclusively with Amazon Prime on a capsule collection inspired by the show’s characters, available to shop from the show’s release. The 21-piece drop includes everything you need to recreate the Daisy Jones look, from beaded vests to Daisy’s classic hoop earrings.

“I immediately thought of Free People when I started the show,” explains the show’s costume designer, Denise Wingate. “I knew there would be great styles I could incorporate that would have the exact flavor and feel that I needed for the period. I’ve been a fan of the brand for so long, so this all seemed like the absolute best fit.”

Riley Keough plays Daisy Jones, who we see develop as an artist, transforming from Sunset Strip It Girl to bona fide rockstar. At the start of the show, she’s a hippie at heart in earthy tones, wide-leg flares, delicate blouses, and boho-style, brown leather accessories.

“Daisy always had money. She came from money. She just wasn’t very crafty about it,” Denise explained to People. “I think she bought her stuff at thrift stores, or she was on Sunset Boulevard and bought a white marabou feather jacket, which is completely out of character. I just feel like Riley and Daisy, they’re these free-spirited people who wear whatever they want whenever they want. And if she wanted to wear a robe out, then she’s going to wear a robe, or a man’s shirt, or a fur jacket. She was just all over the place. Daisy is eclectic.”

Want to dress like Daisy Jones? Her signature pieces include kimono-style blouses, chain belts, and, of course, hoop earrings. Riley wore a pair (aptly named the Daisy Jones Gold Hoops) from April Star Davis throughout the show and we’ve found a similar style from Missoma for you to shop.

Karen Sirko, played by Suki Waterhouse, is The Six’s keyboardist. As described by Denise to People, Karen’s style is “a little bit Patti Smith with some Suzi Quatro and Marc Bolan from T. Rex — because we made her a little bit glam with a lot of velvet — and a little bit of Joan Jett.”

We searched high and low for a striped, lurex turtleneck (book Karen is big on a turtleneck, FYI) and found a very similar vintage option on ASOS Marketplace. For a high street alternative, try a chevron style (very ’70s!) from ONLY or Karen Millen. Add velvet bell bottoms and a studded belt from Free People, throw on a statement necklace and you’re ready to rock those ivories. We searched ‘seventies gold boho tassel necklace’ on Etsy (our vintage go-to) and found plenty of similar designs.

Simone Jackson, played by Nabiyah Be, is Daisy’s best friend. Also a singer, she becomes a star of the burgeoning disco scene and tours a lot in Europe. For her leather-on-leather look, try a statement vest.

Daisy Jones’ coats are stars in their own right. We’re obsessed with a patchwork print moment and Jones’ knows how to effortlessly pull it off.

Of course, Daisy Jones has a Penny Lane coat (or two, or three). For a vintage-inspired, embroidered ’70s design, head to The Hippie Shake. For a more modern take, try Superdry.

If you’re already a Daisy Jones fan, chances are you’re excited about this scene in particular. All it takes is a vintage Halston gown, cut down the middle by Denise and Riley to make a cape, a smoke machine, and an iconic performance by Daisy Jones & The Six (yes, they’re a real band — you can buy their debut album, Aurora, now) to make history.
