Wolf makes Flames history in win over Canadiens

Dustin Wolf seems to like playing the Montreal Canadiens.

The Calgary Flames‘ young goaltender stopped all of the 26 shots he faced for his third shutout of the season in a 1-0 win over the Canadiens on Saturday.

He becomes the first Flames rookie to ever post three shutouts in a season.

Wolf improved his career record to 3-0-0 against Montreal with Saturday’s stellar performance.

Joel Farabee scored the game-winner late in the second period. Farabee, who was acquired in a trade with the Philadelphia Flyers on Jan. 30, has now scored in back-to-back games.

With the win, the Flames jump one point ahead of the Vancouver Canucks for the final wild-card spot in the Western Conference.

The Canucks have one game in hand on the Flames and return to action Sunday against the Dallas Stars.
