Canada is one win away from a return to the gold-medal game at the world juniors — something it hasn’t done since 2023.
Standing in their way is Czechia, which is looking to medal at the tournament for a fourth straight year.
The Canadians punched their ticket with a dominant 7–1 quarterfinal win over Slovakia and will be looking for revenge on Czechia, who earned back-to-back wins over Canada in the quarterfinals in 2024 and 2025.
This is also the second time both teams go head-to-head at this tournament. Canada beat Czechia in the opener on Boxing Day, 7-5.
