Zara’s New-In Sandals Just Blew My Mind–These are The Pairs You Need to See

As someone with a penchant for shoe shopping, I’ve fallen into the role of Who What Wear UK’s resident shoe lady. It’s a title I’m happy to take on (although my partner is probably quite tired of the amount of pairs stacking up in our wardrobe), but there’s something about buying shoes that brings me an excitement like no other. The right pair of shoes can help you walk a little taller (both literally and figuratively), and can make even the most simple outfit feel more polished. A t-shirt and jeans? Safe, until you add a strappy sandal. A blazer and a dress? Good, but a mule would make it great. And with summer just around the corner, we welcome the start of one of my favourite times of the year–sandal season, the months when the warmer weather calls for prettier, cooler, more colourful styles than the practical winter boot.

Speaking to my friends Zara can be a hit-or-miss shopping experience. Most love the affordable basics and killer sale finds, but others are frustrated at nipping in on their lunch breaks to be met with an underwhelming selection and overwhelming queues, and I most definitely fall into both camps. I am however happy to while away the hours on the Zara website, scrolling through hundreds of items to find the real winners, but when it comes to their new-in sandals, every single style is a smash hit.

I’m talking about designer looking gladiators, pretty heels and luxe slip ons, and I would legitimately buy every one of them (and believe me, that is rare for me to say).
