35 New M&S, Zara and Mango Pieces You'll Wear All the Time This Autumn

Can you feel it? The shift in seasons is definitely underway, which means our minds and our wardrobes are finally on the same page. So, let’s talk about autumn. Knitwear, leather, denim on denim, chunky boots—the fashion potential that autumn unlocks never fails to give us a thrill, and we’ve been busy shaping what we want our style to look like this season for weeks, okay, maybe even months.

In doing so, however, we’ve realised that we have some holes in our line-up that could do with filling. From knitwear that’s starting to look past its sell-by to coats that don’t boast quite the same silhouette as they did a few years previously, chances are you may find a few key items in your autumn fashion arsenal that need updating, too. And where better to look for these pieces than the Great British high-street?

Anne-Victoire Lefevre wears an outfit from Mango.

We have, hands down, the best high-street in the world, and our favourite stores are already serving up a host of autumnal goodness by way of woollen shackets, toasty cardigans, quilted outerwear, and so much more. Out of all the brands out here, we’re particularly impressed by Mango, Zara, and M&S’s edits, which, between them, tick off every noteworthy autumn trend going.

But don’t take our word for it—let us show you. Scroll on to see the nine pieces from each store we think are worth your time.

While we patiently wait for that Mango faux shearling jacket to be restocked, we would happily add this one to our collection.

The dress you’ll wear on repeat from now until next year.

Flat, track sole knee-high boots are an autumn hero. Don’t let these get away.

You can’t escape leopard print this season, and why would you? These printed jeans would look just as good with a chunky knit as they will with a satin cami.

Channel Parisian style with this simple yet chic navy knitted dress.

Just add white socks, and voilà.

Brown is the perfect alternative to black leather this season.

Platform sandals are going to be everywhere this party season. Get ahead of the game with this versatile black pair, which will look just as good with trousers as they will with mini dresses.

If you haven’t already heard, I can officially confirm mini skirts are back. This wool style is so chic. Pair with a roll neck and blazer as above or dress up with a corset-style top and heels.

Did we mention just how much we love stripes over here?

We would grab this in a size up so it has that oversized edge.

I can’t wait to wear these with a knitted dress or leather midi skirt.

Dress this 70’s style paisley dress up with heeled boots and lashings of jewellery or wear with a cosy cardigan and trainers.

A great camel coat will serve you well for years, maybe even decades, if you look after it.

Strapless dresses have been key for 2022, and for autumn, upgrade to this wool version. You’ll want to wear on its own for evening and over a roll neck top for day.

A great LBD will serve you well throughout the party season and beyond.

No autumn wardrobe is complete without a striped jumper. (We love the zip detail on this one.)

I’ll wear this over a floaty, floral dress with heeled knee-high boots.

Upgrade your autumn trench to a leather version this year. You won’t regret it.

These chunky boots are so inclusive in sizes 2-9, and you’ll wear them on repeat all season.

Waistcoats are still going strong this season. Try this gold button version over a roll neck knit.

Ok, I know these are a statement but wow.

Cancelling plans because of the cold is a thing, but I guarantee this top will make you want to go out.

I have this and can confirm it is just as gorgeous as it looks.

A water-proof jacket that actually looks cool? We’re well and truly sold on this bomber.

Mary Janes are just so chic.

We all need a throw-on dress for those ‘I have nothing to wear’ days, and this is it. Just add a trench coat, chunky boots, and go.

A bold blazer instantly transforms even the simplest of looks. How gorgeous is this shade of blue!?

Like a cuddle in a coat, this sleek teddy style will see you through the whole of autumn and winter.

This fleck roll neck jumper looks so premium, no doubt everyone will ask you where you got it from.

Tiered dresses aren’t just for summer, people, style this winner with chunky ankle boots (as seen on the model) or add glossy tall boots and a faux fur coat.

Classic, timeless, elegant, these black tailored trousers will be your go-to for so many plans.

Try this pink knit with leather trousers, a camel tailored pair or with a mini skirt and tights.

A hooded coat is basically essential for us Brits with the unpredictable weather. And how expensive does this M&S khaki style look? Sold.

These remind us of a certain cult designer pair from last year (just without the four-figure price tag.)
