6 Colours Everyone Will Wear This Spring, According to a Pantone Expert

The spring season is just around the corner— a time when we meet the longer days with a hopeful post-winter spirit—and this year, we feel a sense of freedom on the horizon.

Sartorially speaking, there is plenty to look forward to this upcoming season, including a plethora of trends to suit every taste and budget. Today, I’m honing in on one of my favorite subjects—colours—and what hues are about to delight us for the spring/summer season ahead.

To get more insight on the colours that will be dominating, I tapped into Pantone Colour Institute’s Executive Director Leatrice Eiseman to share the most popular colours for spring 2021, which we’ve already spotted all over the S/S 21 collections. “This spring we’re seeing colours that will give us an instant refresh and a jolt of energy,” explains Eiseman. A boost most of us will welcome with open arms as we slowly maneuver out of a difficult past year.

Below, she shares six Pantone colours (including Pantone’s colour of the year) that you can expect to see everywhere this spring. Keep scrolling to shop our favorite picks in each hue. We guarantee you’ll find something that hits your eye just right.

“Friendly, joyful, and optimistic, this is a colour that speaks to the hope of sunny days.”—Eiseman

“A warm sister shade to Illuminating, this orange tone is comforting and playful at the same time.”

“This light green cooling breath of fresh air balances the warmer tones of the palette.”

“This is a floral shaded colour that brings sophistication into the spring season.”

“A vivifying, tasty, and tantalising hue that sparks all of the other shades.”

“The perfect neutral for spring that supports every other colour and doesn’t compete with them. It is also the companion colour to Illuminating that forms the Pantone Colour of the Year.”

Next up, the biggest spring/summer 2021 fashion trends to know.
