Over the years, there have been specific items Alexa Chung has become known for wearing, like her Kina Mary Janes from the French shoe brand Carel.
Another example of this is her penchant for Barbour jackets, which she’s been seen wearing at the famous Glastonbury many times over the years (Kate Moss popularized wearing them to the festival as well). Chung even designed a few of her own collections for Barbour.
Started in 1894, the brand is a family-owned business with headquarters in Simonside, South Shields in the North East of England. And with England known for its notorious weather, it makes sense a British label would be behind the iconic heritage outerwear—it started off as a supplier to sailors, fishermen and mariners; those who braved the worst of the weather at sea.
Ahead, shop the coat I recommend for fall 2026, as well as more options on Nordstrom and Barbour.com.
Shop the Harleigh Jacket

I’ve been testing out the Harleigh Jacket from Barbour for fall 2026, wearing it without the detachable hood for a more timeless, classic trench coat look. Unlike other trenches, I like how this one has a heavier weight to it since I get cold very easily, making it a good option to wear later into the season. I definitely see myself reaching for it on repeat once the weather cools off in NYC.
