Blue Jays’ Guerrero Jr. batting cleanup for American League All-Stars, Kirk to bat ninth

LOS ANGELES – Vladimir Guerrero Jr., will hit bat cleanup for the American League in Tuesday night’s all-star game while Toronto Blue Jays teammate Alejandro Kirk bats ninth, manager Dusty Baker announced Tuesday.

Shohei Ohtani, Aaron Judge and Rafael Devers will hit in front of last year’s Midsummer Classic MVP, with Giancarlo Stanton, Byron Buxton, Tim Anderson and Andres Gimenez behind him 5-8.

Kirk rounds out the order and will catch Tampa Bay Rays ace Shane McLanahan.

Los Angeles Dodgers icon Clayton Kershaw gets the nod on the mound for the National League at his home stadium.

Ronaldo Acuna Jr. will leadoff for the NL, followed by Mookie Betts, Manny Machado, Paul Goldschmidt, Trea Turner, Willson Contreras, his brother William Contreras, Joc Pederson and Jeff McNeil.
