Canada qualifies for 2022 FIFA World Cup with win over Jamaica

Cyle Larin, Tajon Buchanan and Junior Hoilett scored in a 4-0 win over Jamaica to send Canada to the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Larin broke the ice at the 13th minute and Buchanan scored a piercing brace just before halftime.

Hoillett added a Canadian third goal at the 82nd minute. Finally, Jamaica’s Adrian Mariappa netted an own-goal, sealing the 4-0 win that punched Canada’s ticket to Qatar.

For the first time since 1986, Canada will take part in the big dance. The Canadian men remain atop the Concacaf World Cup Qualifying standings with an 8-4-1 record and 28 points.
