Canadiens coach Claude Julien hospitalized after suffering chest pains

Montreal Canadiens coach Claude Julien was rushed to a hospital Wednesday night following Game 1 of the team’s series against the Philadelphia Flyers.

Canadiens general manager Marc Bergevin says Julien was taken to the hospital after experiencing chest pains and is undergoing tests on Thursday while he is kept under observation. The team does not expect Julien to be back behind the bench for the remainder of this series.

Assistant coach Kirk Muller will take over head coaching duties in Julien’s absence.
