Canadiens complete sweep of Jets to advance to semifinals

The Montreal Canadiens beat the Winnipeg Jets 3-2 in overtime of Game 4 on Monday to complete the sweep and advance to the semifinal round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

Tyler Toffoli scored the game-winner less than two minutes into the extra frame, burying a cross-ice pass from rookie Cole Caufield.

The Canadiens, as the lowest remaining seed, will now face the winner of the West Division Final between the Colorado Avalanche and Vegas Golden Knights. That series is currently tied 2-2 with Game 5 scheduled for Tuesday in Denver.

The win comes one week to the day since the Canadiens rallied to defeat the Toronto Maple Leafs in Game 7 of the first round. The Canadiens have now won seven straight playoff games since going down 3-1 to the Maple Leafs in the opening round.
