Football fans can’t believe their eyes as Cowboys’ Maher misses 4 extra points

Brett Maher missed three extra points in the regular season for the Dallas Cowboys.

Somehow, he matched that total in the first half of the team’s first playoff game on Monday night — and then added a fourth miss early in the second half against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The ex-CFLer became the first kicker in NFL history to miss at least three converts in a playoff game.

It was more bizarre than meaningful after all the misses as the Cowboys led 24-0 following his fourth shank.

While the NFL moved the point-after line back to the 32-yard line (from the 19) in 2015, it’s still made the overwhelming majority of the time.

The Nebraska product was 50-of-53 on extra points in the regular season.

Maher, 33, rejoined the Cowboys for a third time this season.

Maher gained a foothold in the NFL in 2017 after stints in the CFL with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, Ottawa Redblacks and Hamilton Tiger-Cats.

Here’s a sampling of the reaction on social media.
