As much as I hate to admit it, the time has come to start thinking about autumn outfits once again. Summer is now behind us (or so this week’s weather has proven), meaning sundresses and strappy tops are out and cosy knits and button-down cardigans are in.
Not all is lost, though, as when it comes to fashion, autumn is often regarded as one of the best seasons to dress for. The cooler weather means there’s more opportunity to experiment with layers—without having to completely rug up as we do in the freezing winter months.
With this in mind, I decided to start my search for some updated knitwear and luckily I’m willing to share my findings. ASOS currently has over 600 items in its “jumpers and cardigans” sections, which for obvious reasons can be quite overwhelming. I scrolled through them all to provide an edit of my 22 favourites, ranging from the brand’s own designs to other labels it carries, including & Other Stories, Urban Bliss, Vero Moda and more.
