As a beauty editor, there’s nothing I love more than a sneaky sale. I love the element of surprise when I’m met with an unexpected opportunity to restock my favorite beauty products. I also love the satisfaction of saving money. The good news is there’s one going on right now, and I have all the details.
Bluemercury’s July 4th Sale is on now, and during it, I can save 25% on summer beauty essentials. While there’s no shortage of iconic brands and products to shop, I’m using the sale as an opportunity to snag some niche summer beauty products. How do I define a niche summer beauty product? Good question. It’s anything I consider overlooked or underrated, even if it’s from a popular brand. Or, honestly, anything that would be too expensive for me to purchase otherwise. So, without further ado, keep scrolling to see the 15 items I’m shopping.

I feel like this SPF serum gets overlooked, and that’s a shame, because it’s seriously good. The elegant formula is 100% mineral, yet it sinks effortlessly into the skin and leaves virtually no white cast behind. Thanks to hydrating ingredients like glycerin, argan oil, and shea butter, it also quenches dryness, improves elasticity, and provides potent antioxidant protection.

Don’t worry! I have a recommendation for body sunscreen too. Dune’s The Body Guard SPF 30 is weightless, hydrating gel-cream formula that feels so cooling on sun-kissed skin. It’s also quick-drying, non-pilling, and won’t leave a white cast. Yep, it’s going straight into my beach bag.

Vacation might be an incredibly popular beauty brand, but I think this product can still be considered niche because it doesn’t get nearly as much air time as its other, internet-viral products. Its a body sunscreen, bronzer, and serum in one.
First, it offers SPF 30. Secondly, it delivers an instant bronzed look. Third, it’s packed with ingredients that moisturize and firm the skin. And it’s all set in a lightweight, fast-absorbing lotion. It even has a warm, gourmand scent.

The same goes for Dr. Barbara Sturm’s Super Anti-Aging Body Serum. While the brand itself is iconic, I feel like its bodycare line gets overlooked for its facial-grade skincare. Allow me to correct that by recommending this high-powered body serum.
A complex of lima bean, peptides, and bioflavonoids defend against sagging and firming, by protecting elastin and overall skin synthesis. Meanwhile, hyaluronic acid and brown algae provide intense moisture, and glutathione and purslane provide power antioxidant protection. Last but not least, biosaccharides give the skin a smooth, supple glow.

Can you tell I’ve been fixated on body care lately? It is summer, after all, and my limbs are out on full display in sun dresses, t-shirts, and shorts. Costa Brazil’s Kaya Jungle Firming Oil is next on my add-to-cart list. The luxe oil is silky-smooth and promotes firmer, healthier-looking skin with cold-pressed oils that are native to the Amazon rainforest. It’s rich in omegas 3, 6, 9, and vitamin A and E.

For a shimmering body oil, I recommend Victoria Beckham Beauty’s Portofino ’97 Golden Shimmer Body Oil. A mix of gold and bronze pearl pigments create the most beautiful, golden-hour glow on sun-kissed skin. Its signature citrus-woody scent is a bonus.

Tronque’s Body Contour Massager is essential to my skincare and wellness routines, especially in summer. Its stainless-steel, ergonomic design helps relax tight muscles, stimulate lymphatic drainage, and de-puff. It can be used on both the face and the body. Simply apply a little cream or oil first to facilitate a smooth glide. It’s the easiest way to instantly elevate your routine—promise.

I spend so much time outside in the summer, walking across sandy shores. Since a monthly pedicure is no match for dry, crusty heels, I rely on at-home exfoliants to keep my feet soft and smooth. The iconic Baby Foot Exfoliation Foot Peel is an obvious choice. The one-hour treatment uses 16 natural extracts and exfoliating AHAs to remove dead skin cells. It’s so effective that it’s gross (in a good way).

La Mer’s The Hand Treatment is usually $130. I don’t know about you, but that sets it firmly in the “niche” category for me. Usually, I’d skip it for more affordable options, but seeing as it’s 25% off right now, I’m adding it to my cart. It’s infused with the brand’s proprietary ferment complex, which renews the skin and makes it smoother, firmer, and more youthful looking.

This body highlighter gives the skin a red-carpet-worthy glow. It also helps shape and sculpt the contours of the body, thanks to FermiProtect technology, which is an innovative firming complex. It’s what Tilbury uses on celebrity clients to create the illusion of longer, leaner limbs. Enough said.

I can’t say enough good things about this body butter. It’s rich, decadent, and luxurious, and pretty much the only product that keeps my skin soft, smooth, and free from razor bumps in the summer. The whipped texture contains moisturizing shea, cocoa, and mango butters, as well as vitamins A and E, fatty acids, and pure seed extracts. 10/10 recommend.

This do-it-all body serum is engineered to speed up cell turnover, refine texture, reduce wrinkles, and fade dark spots. With continued use, it even promises to minimize the appearance of stretch marks.

I’m always looking for ways that I can elevate my self-care routine, and taking a long, luxurious bath is #1. Jo Malone’s Red Roses Bath Oil is infused with sweet almond, jojoba seed and avocado oils to make the skin feel smooth as silk. Meanwhile, the scent of “exquisite” rose, crushed violet, and a hint of fresh lemon acts as a sensorial delight.
