I'm a Beauty Editor, But I Still Want These 22 Gift Sets

As a beauty editor, I am lucky enough to be sent the newest beauty products for a living to test and review.  I am so excited each time I get to unbox the latest launches to test and report back on for work. A dream, right? You might think that I get jaded with the amount of beauty products that pass by my desk, but the reality is far from it—especially when it comes to beauty gifts sets come the festive season.

Beauty gift sets always make a good present—whether it’s for a lucky recipient or even for yourself. I often buy beauty sets for loved ones at this time of the year, whether it’s miniature sizes of their favourite makeup or a limited edition candle, they always go down well. They’re also a great way to try a few different products from a brand (usually with a great saving too, FYI) and, of course, there is the beautiful packaging and contents that comes with gift sets too.

And despite my job, or perhaps because of it, I have a long wishlist of beauty gifts that I’m lusting after this year. From haircare to skincare and fragrance to wellness, these are the presents that any beauty lover will want under their tree.

Diptyque always, always, come through with the most beautiful festive gift sets (and if you’ve not bagged yourself a beauty advent calendar yet, you’ll love Diptyque’s). This gift set includes three seasonal limited edition candle scents in pine, a roaring fire and snow.

Dyson’s iconic AirWrap comes in a limited edition vinca blue and rose colour way for the festive season, and isn’t it beautiful? From straight and sleek to bouncy blowouts, there are so many looks the hairstyling tool can create.

Dior always knocks it out of the park with its beauty gift sets, and this lipstick clutch on a gold chain is a thing of beauty. Inside you’ll find four lipsticks with a long-lasting formula.

Harvey Nichols have got it covered if you’re after a beauty hamper. How amazing is this hair set? It comes with a pair of ghds, Ouai, Olaplex and Larry King products as well as a hairbrush for your glossiest hair yet.

No corny jokes in this cracker, just results driven skincare from Paula’s Choice and Dr Barbara Sturm. This is perfect for a secret santa gift and a Liberty cracker will always be appreciated at the dinner table too.

Inside this Jo Malone London snowball is five of its minature seasonal scents, including Rose & Magnolia, White Moss & Snowdrop Cologne, Orange Bitters Cologne, Green Almond & Redcurrant Cologne and my personal favourite,  Midnight Musk & Amber.

This Tan-Luxe set is a great way to try some of the brands cult tanning products, including The Face and Body Tanning Drops and The Gradual self-tanning lotion.

Need I say more? This shimmering No.5-scented body oil will brighten up any dressing table.

Who What Wear are big fans of Rose Inc (AKA, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley’s beauty line). This trio of lipsticks are the perfect stocking filler. The Poetic shade is actually RHW’s favourite too.

Whether it’s for you or your most frazzled friend, these aromatherapy oils are the perfect way to wind down every evening and turn your bathroom into the ultimate aroma zone.

Byredo’s Rose of No Man’s Land is a crowd-pleasing scent, and this set comes with the matching hand cream too.

Beauty editors swear by Augustinus Bader skincare, and this duo contains both The Cream and The Rich Cream—perfect for parched winter complexions.

Skincare obsessives will greatly appreciate this moisturiser set from Tatcha, which has The Dewy Skin Cream and The Water Cream to plump and hydrate.

Price shown is member price. This set is worth £450, but is only £175, and contains some of Beauty Pie’s cult products (as well as a surprise) all housed in a luxurious green vanity case.

Baccarat Rouge 540 has become Maison Francis Kurkdjian’s most iconic expensive-smelling scent, and this set has the fragrance, candle and body lotion.

This time of the year is the ideal time to give your hair some TLC, and this Olaplex set allows you to do just that.

Induce better beauty sleep with Neom’s lavender pillow mist and hand cream.

For your friend who is never without her dry shampoo, this set will go down a treat.

This set from JVN is worth £42, but is yours for just £28. I’m totally obsessed with the Air Dry Cream so the inclusion of the Shine Drops is a bonus.

Hairstylists love Oribe, and this set allows you to try the Gold Lust Dry Shampoo and Dry Texturizing Spray, which also comes in additionally miniature size for on the go.

A Fredaric Malle perfume is always on my wishlist, but this set allows you to try some of the best scents before deciding on a bottle.

This duo is the perfect way to try Westman Atelier if you haven’t already discovered the beautiful formulas. It features both the Squeaky Clean Liquid Lip Balm and Baby Cheeks Blush, which has a loyal following.
