Jennifer Lawrence Wore the Trouser Trend Everyone Is Pairing With Trainers

Jennifer Lawrence may have a closet full of designer clothes, but the pieces she chooses are always relatable, or at least how she styles them is. Lawrence could be wearing head-to-toe The Row, but style it to look like an outfit you or I could re-create with less expensive pieces. This brings us to the casual outfit she wore in New York City over the weekend.

Aside from the presence of the paparazzi, Lawrence likely blended in with every other stylish New Yorker enjoying the summer weather over the weekend, and she has her outfit to thank for that. She opted for a simple black tank top and baseball cap paired with a black belt and crossbody bag from The Row. But it was her trouser-and-shoe combination that was the most noteworthy and on-trend.

Lawrence paired utility trousers (a perfectly baggy cargo-carpenter hybrid pair from Matteau) with everyone’s favourite It sneakers (yes, the Adidas Sambas). It’s a pairing you’ve likely seen all over your city and your Instagram feed, so don’t be afraid to continue to wear it—the trend is sticking around for a while. With that, scroll to see JLaw’s look and shop chic utility trousers to wear with sneakers.

On Jennifer Lawrence: The Row belt and Slouchy Banana Large Leather Crossbody Bag (£1720); Matteau Cotton-Twill Straight-Leg Cargo Pants (£236); Adidas Originals Samba OG Shoes (£90); Alaïa sunglasses

The hem togs let you change the shape from straight leg to parachute.

JLaw’s pair also come in crisp white.

The barrel cut is a nice touch.

These won’t stick around for long.

The cropped length is perfect for showing off a trending shoe.

These come in every colour you could dream of.

These come in chic neutrals, but I’m quite into this fun pink hue.

This whole look is my summer uniform.

Vince has taken a cargo utility hybrid for this chic pair.

On the warmest days, swap your trainers for sandals.

This airy organic cotton pair is sure to fly.
