Jo Malone Perfumes Are Legendary—This One Always Earns Me Compliments

Is there anything better than treating yourself to that luxury perfume you’ve had your eye on for months? For me, there’s something so special about unboxing a new scent, as I personally find fragrance so transformative. Whether I’m having a bad day or need a little boost of confidence, a perfume can totally turn my mood around. From Diptyque to Le Labo and Dior, I’ve tried my fair share of luxury brands over the years, and as a beauty editor, I am lucky enough to get my hands on lots of new launches as well. However, there is one brand in particular that has strangers stopping me on the street to ask me what perfume I am wearing, and that brand is none other than Jo Malone

This classic, British perfumery creates some of the most beautiful scents on the market, drawing upon a range of ingredients that work harmoniously with each other to leave you feeling uplifted and empowered. Although I have quite a large collection of fragrances from the brand that I rely on for different occasions, there is one particular scent that I come back to time and time again. In fact, this is my most complimented perfume to date. That’s right, I’m talking about English Pear & Freesia.

If you’re yet to smell this bestselling fragrance, then not to fear, as I’ve taken it upon myself to write an in-depth review, so that everyone can experience just how good it is. So, whether you’re looking for a new perfume for yourself of a Christmas gift for someone else, keep on scrolling to find out why Jo Malone’s English Pear & Freesia is the perfect investment…

First things first, what does this perfume actually smell like? One spritz of this scent will have you feeling as if you’ve taken a big bite of the freshest, sweetest, juiciest pear while sitting outside on a hot summer’s day. The ripe, fruity note is balanced by delicate freesia and deep patchouli, which gives it a sophisticated edge compared to other sweet scents that I have tried. It’s definitely more of a daytime scent thanks its bright, refreshing nature, and a lot of people opt for it in the spring and summer months. That being said, I also love wearing this on those dark, cold winter days as it never fails to put a spring in my step. Something I really love about this fragrance is the lasting power. Often these lighter, more elegant scents can fade on the skin, but this lingers all day long, which is one of the reasons that it earns me so many compliments.

Another reason I’m a huge fan of this perfume is because it comes in Jo Malone’s signature packaging. In my opinion, there really is nothing chicer. In fact, I always have the bottle out on display. You can choose from three different sizes, and I keep the 100ml bottle on my dressing table and have the 30ml bottle in my handbag for when I’m on the go.

Not only is this perfume loved by beauty editors, but celebrities too. Sofia Richie Grainge has expressed her love for the fragrance on her Instagram, saying, “I love this scent, it’s a great everyday scent because it’s light, it’s not intense, it’s not overpowering…”.

Sofia is actually a Jo Malone partner, and if it’s good enough for her, then it’s definitely good enough for us…

With notes of King William pear, freesia and patchouli, this fragrance is not to be missed.

I love the smaller size for throwing in my handbag and taking on holiday.

Yes, you can also have your home smell like the bestselling perfume. What’s not to love?

Using a matching body wash and body lotion can help make your scent last longer, so I will be adding this to my basket.

Along with this body lotion of course.

This would make the perfect Christmas gift.

How beautiful is this body cream? Trust me when I say this will last you forever.

For a real treat, I recommend investing in the bath oil.

Jo Malone have brought out a special edition of the English Pear & Freesia scent for Christmas, which comes in this gorgeous red and white bottle.
