Maple Leafs’ Auston Matthews undergoes successful wrist surgery

Toronto Maple Leafs forward Auston Matthews had successful surgery on his wrist after experiencing discomfort during on-ice training earlier this week, the team announced.

The minimum six-week timeline for Auston Matthews’ recovery will take him right until the start of training camp. https://t.co/wPMCcjihhP

Matthews is expected to need six weeks to recover from the procedure.
