My Entire Summer Vibe Just Landed at Mango—24 Pieces I'm Obsessing Over

Style Notes: Summer is on the horizon, and I’ve found the perfect collection to put myself in the warm-weather mood.

As a fashion editor, I tend to think about the season ahead before the current season has had a chance to get started. It’s an occupational hazard, but one I’ve learned to embrace. I’ve evolved into someone who likes to have the next six months planned out, something I find particularly handy when there are lots of social occasions and get-togethers to navigate and dress for. So although my body is immersed in spring, my mind is unequivocally in summer mode.

Style Notes: Summer 2022’s colour palette is a delicate one. Think watercolour hues styled with an array of found-in-nature neutrals like terracotta and sandstone.

After what feels like an endless winter, I’m welcoming summer with open arms. Do you hear that, spring? I said it. I’m ready. My wallet, however, is somewhat more reserved. It’s easy to get carried away with shopping at the start of a new season when all of the beautiful new collections begin to drop, but I like to remain mindful when it comes to making any new purchases. I’ll only make an exception for pieces that feel truly special and unmissable. This logic usually stands me in good stead—at least, until I saw Mango’s latest collection. Just as I’m ready for summer, it appears Mango is, too.

Style Notes: Draped details are key for 2022, and Mango has them covered.

My goal this year is to be a little more adventurous, to really live life after becoming too comfortable living small during the last couple of years. I plan on doing so by truly making the most of the summer, travelling, making plans with friends, and saying yes on a whim. And Mango has the fashion to match.

Mango has read my mind with its Rustic Outdoors collection, an edit that evokes the glorious freedom and frivolity of summer. Featuring high-quality linen and transparent fabrications painted in a Mediterranean colour palette of rubbled stone and morning-sky blue, this collection is for those who live and breathe summer. Cut-out silhouettes, tie-dye prints, and fringe details permeate dresses and tops while raffia and crochet accessories complete the wanderlust aesthetic.

Style Notes: Fringing is a key trend this season on and off the runway.

Below, I’ve curated an edit of everything I want to be wearing when I look back at photographs from summer 2022. From co-ords in intricate weaves to watercolour dresses, these are the Mango summer staples I love. I have a feeling you’ll think they’re pretty special, too.

From the cut to the delicate hue, this is the perfect blazer in my eyes.

I have a thing for white dresses.

Ruching was a key detail on the S/S 22 runways.

Cargo trousers are having a moment. I love this summery sand update.

How fresh is this blue and white tie-dye pattern?

I always regret not snapping up matching separates, but I won’t make that mistake this time around.

Just beautiful. Wear this with jeans now and linen shorts come summer.

Expect to see tassels everywhere this season.

I’d style this dress with tan accessories and a gold belly chain.

A very sleek take on the crochet trend.

These will pair just as nicely with an oversized shirt in blue, white or green.

Be sure to leave this top untucked to ensure the gorgeous crochet-scallop hem remains on display.

If you’re more of a dress person, this stunning tie-dye print also comes in midi form.

Another blazer to add to my wish list.

Exposed seams are a recurring theme for summer both on and off the runway.

Are we in agreement that Mango has the best tailoring for summer 2022?

Need I say more?

This will look equally at home on the beach with tan sliders as it will with a denim jacket and sneakers in the city.

This is how to carry the knitted-vest trend we all love so much into the warmer months.

The knit above? I’d consider wearing it with these expensive-looking tailored trousers.

The ultimate summer throw-on.

Just when I thought I had enough knitted co-ords, I saw this two-piece.

The light waffle weave looks so premium.

This makes me want to dig out my favourite bikini.
