Nets add four players to protocols, Durant questionable vs. Raptors

The Brooklyn Nets have added LaMarcus Aldridge, DeAndre Bembry, Jevon Carter and James Johnson to health and safety protocols ahead of Tuesday’s home game against the Toronto Raptors.

They join Paul Millsap, who entered protocols on Monday. The Nets also announced that superstar Kevin Durant, who’s coming off a 51-point performance on Sunday, is questionable due to right ankle soreness.

With Kyrie Irving and Joe Harris also out for the Nets, they currently have 10 eligible players — nine if Durant is out. The Raptors could be down to 10 players as well with OG Anunoby, Khem Birch, Precious Achiuwa, Dalano Banton, David Johnson and Goran Dragic all expected to be out. The NBA requires teams to have a minimum of eight eligible players to participate in a game.

Toronto already has one postponed game this week due to a COVID-19 outbreak that has sidelined 10 Chicago Bulls players. The NBA postponed both Tuesday’s Bulls game against the Detroit Pistons and Thursday’s game against the Raptors for the first postponements this season.
