The NHL has postponed all games involving cross-border travel through the Christmas break in the latest attempt to curb COVID-19 outbreaks across the league.
As a result, 12 more games from Dec. 20-23 have been postponed.
The NHL cited “the fluid nature of federal travel restrictions” in a statement announcing the postponements. Five teams — the Panthers, Bruins, Predators, Avalanche and Flames — had already been shut down until after the three-day Christmas break due to outbreaks on their rosters.
