People Always Compliment Me On My Skin When I’m Wearing This Glowy SPF

There are two defining moments of my life in beauty: before discovering Supergoop! Glowscreen (£35), and after discovering Supergoop! Glowscreen.

With the importance of wearing SPF daily more widely known than ever before, I set about finding an sunscreen that I would actually want to wear every single day. And it was a tall order: on my sensitive and acne-prone skin, it’s hard to find one that doesn’t sting my eyes, but still works underneath makeup and doesn’t break out my skin. But thankfully, I stumbled upon Supergoop! Glowscreen, and I’ve never looked back.

I’m now on my third consecutive tube, and I can hands-down say its the one skincare product that I now cannot live without year-round. Whenever I wear it, someone compliments my skin, which is a testament to just how great it makes my complexion look. Want in? Scroll ahead to find our what all the fuss is about.

Pros:  – Glowing pearlescent sheen. – Looks great worn alone or underneath makeup. – SPF 30 protection. – Suits all skin types. – Contains niacinamide, hyaluronic acid and vitamin B5. – Vegan. Cons: – Not suitable for those who prefer a matte finish. – Only one shade available in the UK

Let’s get into the formula. What makes this product so incredible is its pearlescent sheen, which gives the skin the kind of glow that makes it look like you’ve downed two litres of water, had a facial and just emerged from the spa. It’s not a skin tint or foundation, however, but it does have a blurring effect on application. While it does have a slight beige tint, this blends out into a transparent sheen on my skin tone. In the US, Supergoop! has four shades of Glowscreen which are tailored better to deeper and fairer skin tones. In the UK, we currently only have the one universal shade for now, so I’m keeping my fingers crossed that we’ll see more shades land on UK shores soon. However, I have heard that this shade does work well on deep and fair skin tones too.

In my opinion, the Supergoop! Glowscreen SPF 30 is 100% worth it. I find myself reaching for it most days, but particularly so when I don’t want a full face of makeup, but when I still want a bit of skin blurring and glow—ideal for when I’m running errands or heading to a workout class or going out for a walk. That being said, it works amazingly as a radiance-boosting primer underneath makeup too, helping the skin to look glowy while ensuring foundation stays put throughout the day. As you can see, it doesn’t give (or promise) coverage on its own, so I would need concealer to disguise redness and scarring, but it does give the skin a soft-focus effect, which blurs out minor blemishes while giving the skin a healthy glow. Despite how regularly (and liberally) I apply it, a tube typically lasts me around three months. It might not be for you if you like a matte finish, or have very oily skin. However, if you’re all for the dewy, radiant look then I would highly recommend it. It doesn’t exacerbate my acne or skin sensitivity, and it does have a moisturising quality to it which works well for dryer skin types too, thanks to the addition of hyaluronic acid. My hope is that Supergoop! will bring the additional shades to the UK, as while this is a great universal, translucents glow, having a range of shades would be the cherry on top.

If you don’t want to invest in a full-sized tube, the 20ml size is a great way to try it first and ideal for travel too.

This velvety SPF is totally transparent, leaving zero cast on the skin. It leaves a smooth matte finish, making it ideal for those with oily skin or if your prefer a velvet-like finish. It doubles amazingly as a makeup primer to smooth over pores and fine lines too.

SPF needs to be topped up throughout the day in order to shield from the damaging effects of the sun. Thankfully, Supergoop! has come up with this translucent powder SPF, which makes topping up over makeup so much easier, and is ideal for taking away shine.

If you want an airbrushed effect with a matte finish, meet your match. The mattescreen formula lends itself well to those with oily or combination skin types that want a velvety base while shielding their skin from the sun.

Want a totally sheer SPF without any heaviness? This whipped formula is feather-light on the skin, sinks in fast and leaves zero white cast. A great one for all skin types.

This clear SPF stick is so helpful for throwing in your bag for top-ups on your face, neck, shoulders, or anywhere else your skin might be exposed. It has a transparent formula that glides onto the skin brilliantly underneath or on top of makeup too. It even doubles up as a glowing, glitter-free highlighter.

If you want an ultra-light SPF for your face that will sink in quickly, consider this your new favourite. It has a water-like texture that melts into the skin and dries fast—no faffing around here.

This creamy gel formula sinks in fast, making it great for both the face and the body when you need to be out the door fast. Like all of the Supergoop! formulas, there is zero white cast here.
