Raptors’ Nurse, five other staff members entering health and safety protocols

Toronto Raptors head coach Nick Nurse and five other members of the team’s coaching staff are entering the league’s health and safety protocols and will not coach Friday night, the team announced.

They will all continue to work remotely, however, with details on their return to be stated at a later time.

Though many players have missed games due to health and safety protocols this season, this marks the first instance of a head coach and multiple staff members being forced to miss a contest for that same reason.

Instead of Nurse, it will be Raptors general manager Bobby Webster who shall speak to the media Friday evening during the head coach’s pregame availability window prior to the matchup with the Houston Rockets.
