There will be a new Stanley Cup champion in 2024.
The Dallas Stars advanced to the second round with a 2-1 Game 7 win over the defending Cup champion Vegas Golden Knights on Sunday.
Radek Faksa scored the game-winner 44 seconds into the third period in his first game back from injury since leaving Game 2.
The top-seeded Stars will now take on Nathan MacKinnon and the Colorado Avalanche in Round 2.
