The Man Behind 'The Rachel' Cut Just Launched a Soon-to-Be Cult Shampoo

I am no beauty expert, but two things I know is that the Rachel haircut is arguably the most significant chop in recent history and that Drunk Elephant is one of the most buzzy names in the industry right now. Combine these two things and you’re onto a winner. The skincare brand (which is the fastest-growing in Sephora’s history) just branched out beyond vitamin C serum and overnight oils into hair and body products, and enlisted the help of Jennifer Aniston’s long-time hairstylist Chris McMillan. Yes he is the man behind the ‘Rachel.’

You certainly can’t buy happiness with one beauty product, however the line up of rainbow-hued lids does make my morning showers a little more jolly. The hair range is all created with the scalp in mind, and as someone who is guilty of washing their hair in the bath (I know, I know), I was keen to test the shampoo’s promise to dissolve buildup from the hairline. It did give a thorough clean and remove the product build-up I had in my hair—I have coarse hair, and so am a sucker for anything with the word ‘nourishing’ on it, so was pleased this didn’t leave it looking (or feeling any drier). It’s more expensive than I would typically spend on a shampoo and conditioner set, but I really couldn’t fault it. Plus, they both also smell exactly like one of my favourite quarantine sweet treats—a Mr Kipling Bakewell tart.

Next up, how to do an at-home blow dry in 5 easy steps.
