These 32 Beautiful Wedding Guest Dresses Are 100% Heatwave-Ready

Wedding ceremonies have looked a little different over the past couple of years, but if you’re anything like us, you’ll have had invitations coming in by the handful for 2022 celebrations. Being fashion editors, we can’t help but plan our outfits ahead of time, and thankfully, there’s plenty to choose from this season whether you’re in the market for a slick suit or a flowing floral maxi.

There are various factors to consider when choosing an outfit for an important event—the venue, the dress code, even how long the ceremony is going to last—but there’s also the weather. Living in the UK, that usually means considering a jacket for random cold fronts and an umbrella for downpours. But if you’re attending a wedding here in the next few weeks, it’s the heat that you’re going to have to beat.  Luckily, there are plenty of options out there that can keep you looking and feeling cool on the hottest days of the year. Of course, there are the chic tailored and jumpsuit alternatives, but we’d advise saving these for spring and autumn/winter weddings for now. Breezy dresses will be much more comfortable in a heatwave, and after all, there are hundreds of beautiful ones out there to choose from. From lace and chiffon to silk and organza, we really are spoilt for choice.

The weather be damned, more than anything else, we’re just excited about getting dressed up again, putting on heels (never thought we’d hear ourselves saying that) and painting the town red. So really, we’d be happy in anything that doesn’t come with a matching hoodie.

To ensure the most fun is had, you do want to be comfortable, though, and you also want to find a style that you can continue to wear for many years to come. So, focusing our energy on warm-weather frocks, scroll on down to get all the wedding guest dress inspiration you could ever need, neatly categorised by type of dress.
