TikTok Has Spoken: These £35 Trousers Are the Best on the High Street

As much as I love swanning around in a dress, more often than not, you’ll catch me in trousers. Jeans, cargo, wide-leg—I’m a trousers girl at heart. So when a new pair is declared a favourite on TikTok, I take note. Affordable, well-designed, available in different lengths and colours: Uniqlo’s pleated wide-leg trousers are officially it.

Even if you don’t scroll TikTok frequently, you’ll probably come across this pair of trousers in some way, with the most-watched video celebrating them reaching over 2 million views. Uniqlo features heavily within my wardrobe. Aside from that trending bag, which remains a staple in my daily outfit builds, its affordable T-shirts, high-quality knitwear and cleverly designed tank tops with built-in bra also take pride of place.

And now, the Pleated Wide Leg Trousers are set to join. What makes Uniqlo’s pieces so brilliant is that the brand gets them just right. The range of colours allows any minimalist to pick out the hue they favour, whilst there’s always a fun twist if you want to indulge (in this instance, a corduroy version).

The two-way stretch adds comfort for all-day wear, whether you’re pairing with a tee and trainers for weekend coffee dates, or styling up with a shirt for the office. And the drape and pleating is what adds the expensive look, despite their very reasonable price tag of £35.

All in all, I have a feeling this latest restock won’t stick around for long. So without further ado, let’s explore the Uniqlo trousers that TikTok has declared are worth it.

Cream always looks so expensive.

The cut and this shade are so timeless, you’ll rewear these forever.

You can’t go wrong with classic black.

This shade of grey will go with every other colour.

I plan to wear these all autumn long.

All the shades also come in a long length.

The cord iteration is going to be a hit for the colder months.
