Trust Monikh: 12 Pieces I'm Adding to My New-Season Wardrobe

There are hundreds of thousands of influencers in the social ether, but there is only a handful who we religiously follow in order to virtually steal the clothes off their backs. Our primary target is Monikh Dale—the London-based styling and shopping guru who seeks out the coolest buys from every corner of the retail world. From her inspiring tips on rewearing her well-chosen investment items to hunting down the best high-street pieces, her Instagram feed, @monikh, and website are a veritable hotbed of things you’re going to want to purchase immediately (and will never regret). Each month, Monikh will share her new picks exclusively for you.

I am itching to get my spring looks out there, but the weather is not cooperating. My mother-in-law once said to me that there’s no such thing as bad weather, just a bad choice of clothing. And that’s really stuck with me. Dressing appropriately for the weather is something that I really work into my look, mainly to ensure that I can get on with my day seamlessly. Those hours whilst my baby’s at nursery are precious!

So, this month’s edit is dedicated to the girls who, like me, are desperate to jump into new season but are battling cold temperatures…Look no further, this is how to do it with our ongoing wintery weather.

This is a great neutral tone to keep that fresh spring vibe whilst still keeping you warm.

I love this style. I tend to go a little more boho in the warmer months and accessories are the perfect way to start to move into new season.

The trend is already huge, don’t miss out.

I tried this on at Liberty and I instantly fell in love. I’ll wear it now with a t-shirt underneath and my baggy jeans,

Would be a great combo with the above knit.

Not new, but a great way to start bringing in that basket bag style.

Get in a size bigger. Wear with trainers and bomber jacket.

Start introducing a little spring colour to revive your winter trousers.

I love the fit on these. And the darker denim is great for an eveing option.

This is a similar shape to the trench coat I’ve been wearing. It goes with everything, and the unusual length creates a really interesting proportion.

Something you will keep going back to. Wear with jumpers, t-shirts, shirts. A key piece.

I love the tone of this, perfect layered up or simply on it’s own with the above skirt.

This colour is one of my neutrals, it goes with everything.

I’m a sucker for a set. And this is the perfect teamed with the burgundy suede.

The matching skirt is just gorgeous.

Just wear with a pair of jeans and huge knitted cardigan.

The shoe of SS23.

Very cool.

Have an event coming up? This is the look.

Waistcoats are going to be huge this summer. Wear on its own with a long linen skirt.

Beautifully simple, this drawstring hem will ensure the proportions work with jeans and skirts this spring.

Cargos are big news this year.

I love the fit on these. Wear with a floaty blouse and trainers.

Very chic. Keep the accessories oversized yet minimal.

This!

Denim is huge for SS23, and I love this structured top that I’lll pair with my wide leg jeans.

Camille Charriere wore this last week, and I can’t stop thinking about it.

Need to spice up your knitwear? Look no further…

Denim jackets are everywhere. This flared sleeve style might just be my fave so far.

The perfect layering tool. I love it done up and tucked into jeans.

A staple for this season and next.

Reworking my tween years one look at a time.

I’ll wear this back to front.

I love how thin these layers are. Perfect with the parachute trousers.

Super classic and wearable, this dress will carry you through all the seasons. In spring/summer wear with flip flops and a basket bag before styling with a roll neck and thermals underneath, a big chunky cardigan and trainers in autumn.

So chic. A forever piece.

A slightly dresser jeans and tee option.

I’ll be doing double denim a lot in spring.

Wear with a huge knit jumper, cashmere socks and trainers.

If you buy one thing this year, make it a boilersuit.

A very fine knit dress, which feels incredibly sexy on. Save this one for the big day.

An easy top to go with your wide leg jeans.

An investment piece but also a forever piece.

Yes, they’re back.

As cosy as it gets.

Pair with the matching trousers, of course.

How stunning. Team with an oversized knit.

I like my dresses to match my wine.

This colour has been popping up a lot recently. Wear with wide leg brown trousers.

A tee, wide leg trousers and this. Style your hair in a low bun and add gold hoops. Very chic.

I love the padded scarf that comes with this coat.
