Hours from now, the Home Run Derby will take place, pitting some of the best sluggers in baseball against each other — and teeing up the week’s main event, the All-Star Game.
But before homers can be launched into the stands and stars can shine at the Midsummer Classic, there’s lineup business to attend to.
Brian Snitker, the Atlanta Braves manager who will be overseeing the National League team, and Dusty Baker, the Houston Astros manager steering the American League, will reveal their choices for the starting pitchers of the showcase event and unveil the All-Star starting lineups.
